We fell in love with the Sun Valley/Ketchum area of Idaho in 1986 when Elmer was invited to conduct a three week ceramics workshop for the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. We bought a small log house in a commercial zone of Ketchum before we left to return to teaching at the University of North Texas. The house is now our shop.
We live in in a small town (Ketchum) surrounded by national forests. Ketchum is located at the base of the Sun Valley ski mountain. Sun Valley is a ski resort, but the area is also a summer resort. It's an incredible place to live and a beautiful, fun place to visit if you like the outdoors, or even if you don't. We have great restaurants, fun night life, and lots of things for kids to do.
